New JCB 3CX Sitemaster: More Machine, More Possibilities

JCB has expanded its iconic backhoe loader range with the introduction of the new 3CX Sitemaster – a versatile, high-specification machine designed to offer an affordable route into backhoe ownership without compromising on capability.

Available from £55,000 + VAT, the new 3CX Sitemaster is aimed at owner-operators, smaller businesses and plant hire companies looking for a dependable machine that can take on a wide range of jobs.

Built to do more

The 3CX Sitemaster brings together excavating, loading and material-handling capabilities in one machine, making it a practical choice for businesses that need to get more from their equipment.

At its heart is a 3.0-litre JCB 55kW (74hp) Stage V engine, producing 440Nm of torque. The engine meets Stage V emissions requirements without the need for DEF (AdBlue), helping to keep operation and maintenance straightforward.

The machine is also capable of travelling at speeds of up to 40kph, making it well suited to businesses working across multiple sites and helping reduce the need for additional transport between jobs.

High specification as standard

Rather than offering a long list of specifications and options, the 3CX Sitemaster comes in a single, carefully selected specification designed to provide everything operators need from day one.

Standard equipment includes:

  • 1.0m³ 6-in-1 shovel with integrated forks
  • 14ft extending dipper
  • Seat-mounted servo excavator controls
  • Air-conditioned cab
  • Six LED work lights
  • Return-to-Dig function
  • Smooth Ride System (SRS)
  • Single and double-acting auxiliary hydraulic circuits
  • LiveLink telematics
  • 4-speed manual transmission
  • 40kph maximum road speed

The 6-in-1 shovel adds further versatility, while the integrated forks allow operators to handle materials without needing a separate attachment. Meanwhile, the extending dipper provides a maximum dig depth of 5.65m.

One machine, multiple applications

For smaller contractors and owner-operators, having one machine capable of tackling a variety of tasks can make a significant difference.

The 3CX Sitemaster can be used for excavating, loading, grading, material handling and more, while auxiliary hydraulics allow operators to use attachments such as breakers and grading buckets.

Its combination of road speed, versatility and straightforward operation makes it particularly well suited to businesses moving between sites throughout the working day.

Designed with the operator in mind

The Sitemaster has also been designed to make day-to-day operation as comfortable and straightforward as possible.

Seat-mounted servo controls provide precise excavator control, while the air-conditioned cab and Smooth Ride System help improve operator comfort when working and travelling between sites.

The machine also features easy access to daily check points and service components, helping to simplify routine maintenance and minimise unnecessary downtime.

Where does the 3CX Sitemaster fit in the range?

The new Sitemaster sits alongside JCB's established 3CX Plus and 3CX Pro models, giving customers more choice when selecting the right backhoe loader for their business.

The 3CX Plus is designed for customers looking for additional performance and productivity, with an 81kW (109hp) engine, six-speed Autoshift transmission and Torque Lock.

At the top of the range, the 3CX Pro adds further operator-focused features, including JCB's Dual Drive system and a maximum road speed of 50kph.

The new Sitemaster provides a simpler, cost-effective alternative while retaining the versatility that has made the 3CX one of the best-known backhoe loaders in the industry.

Ready for whatever comes next

Whether you're starting a new business, replacing an older backhoe loader or looking to add a versatile machine to a hire fleet, the new JCB 3CX Sitemaster offers a combination of capability, specification and value.

With a £55,000 + VAT starting price, it provides an accessible entry point into JCB's backhoe loader range while delivering the versatility needed to take on a wide variety of jobs.
